Norfolk Militia (Heritage) Regiment Mission Statement:
 
As members of the Norfolk Militia (Heritage) Regiment, our mission is to educate and promote the history of the War of 1812 and the lifestyles of the period in Norfolk County.
 
Our Vision Statement:

To develop a membership that will be free of harassment, discrimination, and violence by means of the following guidelines:
 
Code of Conduct:

  • Refrain from using discriminatory or offensive language
  • Refrain from excessive alcohol consumption that creates a hazard to oneself or infringes on the rights or safety of others
  • Refrain from horseplay that could endanger self or others
  • Maintain and store weapons properly at all times
  • Request that invited guests follow these guidelines
  • Zero tolerance of illegal substances
  • Maintain a respectful environment by treating all members and others with who we interact with dignity and respect regardless of age, gender, physical ability, rank or seniority.
  • No discriminating or harassing behaviour that demeans, threatens, humiliates, intimidates or is considered abusive or violent
  • Report any violence issues immediately to the "committee"
  • Report any harassment or discrimination issues in a timely manner to the "committee" established for this purpose

Review:

The nominated representative or any member of the executive (committee) will gather, assess and resolve misconduct issues. These guidelines will be reviewed at least annually at a general meeting.
